The IUCN Mediterranean Forum has been the keystone event to close the International Year of Biodiversity and open the new Biodiversity decade, establishing the base to measure progress toward the post-2010 objectives in the region. <br />

The Forum, which coincides with the 10 Anniversary of the establishment of the IUCN offices for the Mediterranean in Malaga (Spain), has allowed IUCN members, individual organisations and other partners to learn from each other and articulate their commitments towards conservation and sustainable development in the Mediterranean. <br />
